Client Development Director Job Description:

As a Client Development Director your main responsibility is to manage and maintain relationships between your company and its clients. The Client Development Director position involves a variety of tasks, including communicating regularly with clients to understand their needs, resolving any problems that arise, and ensuring that their overall experience with the company is positive.


Client Development Director Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing client.

  • Provide prompt communication and support to client

  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely matter.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with products or services.

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve customer experience.

  • Implement strategies to retain customers and increase loyalty.

  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs and preferences.

  • Analyze customer data and trends to identify areas for improvement.

  • Create and implement customer service policies and procedures.

  • Train and manage a team of customer service representatives.

Client Development Director Requirements

  • Analytical skills – able to use tools such as Excel to analyze data, identify trends, draw conclusions and build a narrative from the numbers.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.

  • Strong sales and client management skills.

  • Commercial acumen – negotiating skills, ability to apply different approaches to different clients to maximize results.

  • Communication skills – strong written and verbal communication skills; able to become an authoritative voice on NPD Book’s products and data.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
