Product & Services Director Job Description:

​The duties of a product director depend on one's place or industry of employment. Typically, their responsibilities revolve around overseeing the product development operations to ensure smooth flow and efficiency, devise strategies to improve processes, gather relevant data such as sales and customer feedback, and coordinate with different departments in developing new products and services. Furthermore, as a director, it is essential to lead and encourage departments to meet goals, all while implementing the company's policies and regulations, including its mission and vision.


Product & Services Development Director Requirements:

  • Promoting and securing investments plans through the development of proposals and the appropriate business funding.

  • Managing vendor relationships and defining requirements of the vendor services

  • Provide regular reports to product consumers.

  • Acting as a project sponsor for all major product initiatives, including developing delivery strategy, which includes implementation, delivery support and maintenance of the product.

  • Directly influencing the development and deployment specification of the product

  • Assuring accuracy of data base (inventories) for respective product

  • Market and communicate on your service.

  • Deliver top-notch user experience to Planned Parenthood’s consumers on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

  • Develop product vision, requirements, and roadmap for consumer-facing products.

Product & Services Development Director Requirements

  • Plan and direct fundraising campaigns and strategies to meet financial goals.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and volunteers to maximize giving potential.

  • Develop and oversee grants and proposals to secure funding from foundations and other organizations.

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify funding opportunities for academic programs and initiatives.

  • Manage donor database and acknowledge gifts in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Support major gift officers in the cultivation and solicitation of high-level donors.

  • Create and execute stewardship plans to maintain positive relationships with donors and ensure continued giving.

  • Develop and coordinate special events, such as donor recognition events and fundraising galas.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new fundraising techniques to continually improve and innovate development strategies.
